“Working together is better,” said Jacquie Porter of the Texas Education Agency during the June 12, 2019, announcement reception for the United Way of Central Texas and Workforce Solutions of Central Texas Shared Services Alliance. Congratulations on being one of three areas in the state to launch this model! From the announcement we learned that a Shared Service Alliance is a community-based partnership model for childcare centers where by working collectively are able to deliver services in a more streamlined and efficient way. By participating in a shared service alliance, childcare businesses become stronger, more accountable, more financially sound and efficient, and better equipped to offer affordable, high-quality services for children and their families. This is an exciting endeavor for Central Texas as providing high-quality early childcare is essential for setting a foundation for success for our future workforce.
