Movies are finally back in theatres after a long absence according to Buffy Lara, Director at the Premiere Cinema and IMAX at Temple Mall. The Premiere 16 officially reopens on September 3rd. "It’s been a while since people have been able to enjoy movies on the big screen, but we’re SO excited to welcome everyone back!" said Ms. Lara on Tuesday. Cinemas closed in mid-March and most movies were pulled from release, so the new wave of movies marks the first major studio releases in months. Premiere is opening with the widely-anticipated Christopher Nolan epic, "Tenet", along with "The New Mutants", "Unhinged", "Bill & Ted Face the Music", "Trolls" and other movies to win back movie-goers. Coming up soon is "Wonder Woman 1984" in October, along with "Black Widow" and the new James Bond thriller, "No Time To Die" in November. "There’s lots to look forward to at Premiere this year so we welcome everyone back," said Buffy. Premiere has implemented NATO’s CINEMA-SAFE protocols, which among other things includes enhanced safety and frequent sanitization of theatres, concession, restrooms and contact surfaces. Audience capacities are limited to only 50% currently allowing guests to spread out and enjoy the show with 6’ social distancing and increased privacy. Per guidelines face coverings must be worn by staff and guests until further notice except when eating or drinking. The theatre’s staff is temperature-screened daily and hand sanitizers have been installed for everyone’s convenience. The concession stand is open. "Everyone has been coming in asking when we’re opening; we’re glad to finally be able to have everybody back. For us, we’ve been screening the new movies and enjoying real theatre popcorn again, and it reminds us what a great experience we’ve been missing these past months." "I definitely think our guests will have a great time and feel safe," added Ms. Lara. "Movies are an escape and there are some really good ones out to appeal to everyone."
