Freedom Urgent Care and Wellstone Health Partners are expanding access to healthcare in Central Texas by opening a state-of-the-art 7,000-square-foot facility strategically positioned in South Temple. The new building will be located at 4901 S. 31st St. Patients in the area will have easier access to quality care with the highest levels of service when the new facility, featuring urgent care and primary care under one roof, opens. Freedom Urgent Care’s fifth location will be in Suite 110, and Wellstone Health Partners will be in Suite 120. “As our community expands, we remain committed to meeting the increasing demand for quality healthcare close to home,” said Patrick Swindle, CEO of Seton Medical Center Harker Heights. “This investment ensures that families in this area have access to the care they need, when they need it.” Freedom Urgent Care welcomes patients 3 months and older and will be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Patients can utilize online check in and real-time texts for arrival times, and walk-in patients are always welcome. Most major insurance plans are accepted. The clinic will open on April 22, 2025. “This is a great opportunity to bring a new level of care to patients who may not be familiar with Freedom Urgent Care,” said owner Dr. Jay McKenna. “It will also make life a lot easier for a fair number of patients driving from Temple to our clinics in Harker Heights, Killeen and Belton for urgent care and occupational health services.” Wellstone Health Partners will offer primary care services for patients of all ages during each unique phase of life.
