LOCAL NATIONAL RETAIL FLORIST GIVES AWAY FREE FLOWERS FOR – 18th ANNUAL GOOD NEIGHBOR DAY Fall In and Leaf Happy with FREE roses!! Residents of Central Texas will have the unique opportunity to meet each other and develop new friendships when Precious Memories Florist & Gift Shop host their sixteenth annual Good Neighbor Day and celebrate The Ronald McDonald House in honor of Patriots Day on Friday, September 1, 2023. The tradition begins at 8:00 am, Precious Memories at 1404 South 31st Street will give away a Half Dozen Roses, absolutely FREE to anyone who visits the shop, one half dozen roses per customer while supplies last. Seleese Thompson, the owner of Precious Memories hopes the goodwill will be shared throughout the community. Anyone who picks up a half dozen FREE flowers will be asked to keep one of the roses for themselves and give the others away to 5 different people – sharing goodwill and friendship in the community. Just keep one flower for yourself and give away the other 5! Meet someone NEW – tell someone you know how much you care! One neighbor shared…Several years ago she had only one rose left to give away. She saw a neighbor she had only waved to in the past. After giving her the rose a new friendship was born. Our customer said her neighbor is now her best friend in the world. "We hope that the people of Temple and the Central Texas Area will be able to get acquainted with new people or will renew an old friendship during Good Neighbor Day," states Seleese Thompson. "We hope to help promote a friendlier, more caring and compassionate world, starting right here at Precious Memories Florist & Gift Shop." "We plan to have fun and be a Good Neighbor!" Precious Memories Florist & Gift Shop will accept food and monetary donations for the Temple Ronald McDonald Family Pantry; Local McDonald Restaurants will provide breakfast and coffee. Community Partners provide breakfast, refreshments, lunch, treats. Baylor Scott & White Blood Mobile will be available for donations beginning at 10:00 am. Until 1:00pm.
