EVENT ADVISORY

City of Temple to host annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, October 22

Event gives the community a chance to safely dispose hazardous waste.

TEMPLE, TX (October 12, 2022)- The City of Temple will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, October 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This contactless, drive-thru event will take place at the Temple Service Center, located at 3210 E. Ave. H.

Accepted items include household cleaning chemicals, automotive fluids, paint products and gardening chemicals. Some electronics will be accepted, including computers, cell phones, batteries, ink cartridges and televisions. There will be a $5 disposal fee for televisions. Residents may also bring up to eight tires for free.

Each year, the City of Temple works to ensure that hazardous waste does not end up in landfills or water sources. During last year’s event, 650 cars visited to drop off waste, with over 50% of visitors disposing of paint and harmful chemicals, in an effort to keep Temple clean.

Visit templetx.gov/hhw for more information and details on accepted items.
