    Veteran Women's Resource Summit, June 2024

    Belton, Texas. June, 2024. The American Legion Post 55 and the GI Joan Project is proud to announce its Veteran Women Resource Summit, scheduled to take place on June 8, 2024, at The American Legion Post 55 in Belton. This summit aims to provide a platform for veteran women to access vital resources, engage in discussions, and network with peers and experts in various fields.

    Event Highlights:

    • Breakout Sessions: The summit will feature interactive breakout sessions focused on:  Military Sexual Trauma; equine therapy; Mental Health First Aid and Veterans’ benefits.

     

    • Community Resources: Featuring organizations from the community for veteran women to include support groups, counseling services, employment assistance programs, educational opportunities, and specialized healthcare options tailored to their unique needs.

     

    • Networking Opportunities: Attendees will have the chance to connect with fellow veteran women, mentors, and resource providers, fostering a supportive community dedicated to empowering women veterans.
