The Body of Christ Community Clinic (BOCCC) is hosting a star-studded Southern Gospel concert on May 18th at 6:00 PM at the Sue & Frank Mayborn Performing Arts Center on the campus of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. The Southern Gospel Jubilee features gospel singers Karen Peck and New River, Joseph Habedank and The Erwins.

The BOCCC holds an annual fundraiser to help the organization provide medical and dental services to those in need in eastern Bell County. Executive Director Donna Dunn said, “The last several years we have held a banquet for our fundraiser. This year we decided to do something different when we learned that some of the top names in Southern Gospel were available. We are so pleased to host this very special concert".

Headlining the concert is Karen Peck and New River, a multi-Grammy award nominated group who have become synonymous with Southern Gospel Music. New River has performed Southern Gospel throughout the country and have been nominated for and won multiple Dove awards.

Joseph Habedank is a two-time Grammy nominee and has been named Gospel Music's Favorite Soloist for 4 consecutive years. Joseph has a powerful testimony of recovery from drug addiction that he shares through his music. The Erwins are a four-sibling group from Texas who have won a Dove Award and been nominated for a Grammy. They are blazing new trails in Southern Gospel, proving that the future of Southern Gospel music is secure with these young artists.

Individual ticket prices for the concert are $40 per person. Individual tickets can be purchased by calling the UMHB box office at (254) 295-5999.

The BOCCC is also looking for individuals or businesses who would like to support this event by underwriting expenses. These opportunities are available at different levels with corresponding acknowledgements. Information on this support can be found on the Clinic website. These sponsorships may be purchased from the Body of Christ Community Clinic by calling 254-939-9500.

Board Chairman, Jerry Wickwire, said, “This is the major fundraiser for our Clinics, and we ask our friends, family, and neighbors to help us so that we can better meet the needs of so many who require dental and medical care in East Bell County.” Ms. Dunn added, “We need as many East Bell County residents, who are able, to help us raise funds so that we can provide care for those who cannot afford healthcare services elsewhere.
