Heinz is an absolute genius when it comes to foot health and appropriate shoes and orthotics. Five years ago I was facing the prospect of surgery and an extended period of time off my feet. Heinz crafted custom orthotics for me and suggested running shoes, casual shoes, and dress shoes that would accommodate the orthotics and that were right for my foot issues. I avoided surgery and am now walking totally pain-free! I cannot recommend Heinz and Arches in Temple, TX more highly.

Today, I needed a pair of hiking boots that would give me the support I needed and be able to accommodate my orthotics. As usual, Heinz had just the perfect solution and I now have the best hiking boots I've ever owned. If you are having foot issues, give Heinz and Arches a try.

Poor customer service. Sad to say after having such a great interaction from our sales lady that someone else felt entitled to scold us instead of simply informing us so that we knew the correct way to do things. Left our items behind

This was on the list of places my podiatrist gave me to get orthotics for my flat feet. I didn't know what to expect but their location very close to the hospital. When I walked in I asked about orthotics and was told I must have an appointment but there was no appointments for that day since the person to help me would not be in until the next day.

When my friend and I go back the following day I fill out a ridiculous questionnaire then I ho back to see the gentleman that owns the store. We go through this and that and tells me it would take about 4 weeks to get the product from the company he uses. That was the just the beginning.

As soon as he told me about the wait to get the orthotics he followed with other unexpected Information. He told me they don't accept any insurance at all and my total due would be $485 for the orthotics and a $35 fee for his services. I was shocked because there was no sign anywhere indicating that insurance was not accepted . Furthermore I was never made aware there would be a fee for his service as I thought that would be part of his markup. Keep in mind I only found out about a $485 cost for the orthotics instead of the $10 fee my insurance said I would be paying and the $35 fee to get evaluated AT THE END OF THE APPOINTMENT!

Looking back I think this business is a scam! Don't fall for it.

I had a long standing case of plantar fasciitis and tried doctors and chiropractor and after several visits to Chiro, I asked what else I could do and he referred me to arches! This specialist took pictures of my arches, standing walking and looked at all my shoes and suggested arch support and put it in my shoes and sent me off. This corrected and healed my pain. Plantar fasciitis- go to arches!

You talk about thorough. He told me everything I ever could of wanted to know about my feet and its problems. He even knows my ankle rolls causing me to trip/fall periodically. He is good. A must see for all things feet!!! I now have customs arches he made today, a pair of shoes for my feet and compression socks like no other! My feet, are happy feet! Too see him is only 35.00. If you make a purchase the. That is waived. You can't lose, plus you are guaranteed to learn more about your foot then you thought you knew!

I have been here twice and will definitely return for all my shoe needs. Everyone is so nice!

What a great place the doctor Heinz is amazing he helped me so much over the years I've been going there for ten years or more. I could not have made it without care that he gave in diagnosing what was wrong with my feet and making it possible for me to enjoy walking again . He is very professional and highly qualified. His store is not like the ordinary footwear store. Ihave sent many friends there and they all love him. His orthotics are truly custom made, and very high quality. The shoes he sells are amazing for their comfort.

So glad Ike Shaw told me about Arches. KarlHeinz is great and kind of made me disappointed in myself that I never had my feet checked and gotten a proper shoe fitting.

But am so glad I did. Bought a pair of shoes that fit great and I can't wait to get my wife over and do the same.

Not sure why more emphasis is not put on getting your feet and footwear set up correctly. Over time, all your posture and back will compensate for a poor set up and you will pay the consequences for poorly fit shoes.

I have been to 3 board certified Podiatrist's. No help what-so-ever. I learned more in the 15 min. being there than I had from all three specialist's. I am not easily amazed, but it was amazing. This will by my shoe store from now on. I have spent a lot of money on shoes I was told would help. None did. I am so grateful to have been recommended this place.
